About Jess

Hey there friends! I’m Jessica and I’m so excited you found my blog Journey with Jess. I’m a 30-something wife and mother to 2 boys. I'm also a fulltime in-house graphic designer who loves learning and trying new things. When I’m not working my 9-5, you can find me spending time with my husband and boys, our friends and family.

In March of 2017, I had this crazy idea to start a blog. I really wanted a place to share my ideas as well as have the ability to explore a new creative outlet; writing. I’ve never been much of a writer. Sure, I had a diary growing up and a livejournal throughout high school [which is still floating around the internet somewhere – eek!], but I never really felt writing was “my thing.”But after a lot of research and encouragement from my husband, I finally took the plunge and decided to start my own journey with this blog.

I approach things by trial error, and most of what this blog consists of will be just that. I’ll be sharing my graphic design knowledge [including: pintable’s, tutorials, my favorites etc], projects, organizational ideas, crafty inspirations, *ahem* EASY cooking, travel tips and much more. I love to share my ideas and hope to inspire others along the way. I am by no means an expert, but I am not afraid of sharing both my successes and failures with all of you. I invite you to come learn with me and to take part in this journey together.

Heli is short for helicopter because her left ear is always up. We aren't entirely sure of her breed, but we think she has some Lop in her. She was adopted July 3, 2016 and she will be 5 this December.
