Farmhouse style - if you’ve watched HGTV at all then you’ve probably seen this incorporated in some aspect of a design. It’s a pretty versatile style that mixes well with other styles like industrial or traditional so it’s easy to mix and match. It has the charm and feel of rustic with a focus on clean simplicity. I’d even call this the country girls minimalism. Modern farmhouse style is the ‘country’ home decor style of today.  It takes inspiration from a country design but modernizes it with a slight urban edge.  Although it isn’t uncommon to see home decor pieces with dull finishes or chips, lots of white or grey washed reclaimed wood, second-hand type decor items like old windows or mason jars; brick walls, and even farmhouse signs.

The signs are where this font comes into play. Farmhouse is a rustic inspired typeface that was inspired by the wood-carved store signs on a country Main Street in a quaint little town nearby. Farmhouse is based upon the shapes of Baskerville but has a unique rustic character all its own.

All of these farmhouse inspired fonts have a unique look while still embracing the country feel while incorporating clean elements of modern design. I love how you can take this style and really make it your own.

Have fun with it and see what you can create!

1) Click on any of the above links.
2) You will be directed to the font webpage.
3) For dafont.com: Click on the "download" button on the right hand side. A zip file should begin downloading. Locate the zip file and open it. Open all of the .ttf files and click the "install" button at the top of each window that opens. They will be automtically installed into your fonts folder.

If you're getting an "invalid font" error, try logging in as Administrator. Don't drag the files directly from the zip folder into the fonts folder: this won't work. If you're still having issues installing, please google "invaild font" and you should find some discussion boards.
